To alleviate hunger in our community, with the help of generous donations of others.   We believe that every person has a basic right to adequate food obtained with dignity.  Our goal is to see an end to hunger everywhere starting with our community.

Our story

Started by Mike and Gwen in 2006, Scrap for Food is a non-for-profit organization committed to impacting and changing lives in our local community and surrounding areas.  We have been volunteering with the local food banks and shelters in our community since 2006 to present.

We arrange to pick up your donations at your convenience.

Buying the food

Feeding families.

Scrap for food will accept your scrap metal, sell them and use the proceeds from the sale to purchase food which will be donated to local food banks, soup kitchens and shelters.

Through this process, you are feeding the needy, giving back to your community and creating jobs.

We are an organization that is here to serve you. We have been faithfully volunteering with other organizations in the community since 2006. We are committed to making a difference and we inspire others to do the same.
